Course Description
This course teaches theories of colour and light so that you can create stunning and luminous paintings. Inspired by advances in optics, the Impressionists developed a new understanding of how light affects the colour of the subject; a major advance on the Old Masters who painted the “local colour of the subject”. Emphasis will be placed on dramatic lighting, colour, composition and depth. By the end of this course you will confidently capture the mood and feel your subjects: mostly portraits and nudes from life.
Can paint on canvas or computer.
About the teacher
Charles Vinh is a classically trained artist with decades of experience whose works are collected all over the world. He has received numerous prestigious awards and honours including being selected to paint for several series of Canada Post commemorative stamps. He is an amazing teacher with many years of teaching experience.
