Course Description

Ideal for both fine artists and those in the video game, comic book, film and animation industries; students will acquire the anatomical knowledge and techniques to draw human figures without the use of reference. With the aid of live models, students will be shown techniques of under-drawing so as to truly understand the structure of the human body.

Topics include male and female full-figure construction, gesture and natural poses, facial structure, hands and feet, and finish and lighting.

Prerequisite: Drawing the Human Form or equivalent experience.

About the teacher

Geof Isherwood has worked with Marvel and DC Comics for 18 years on Spiderman, X-Men, Silver Surfer, Suicide Squad, Thor and many more. He has also worked in the film industry as a concept and storyboard artist for several major blockbuster films (Battlefield Earth, Rollerball, Gothika, etc.).

Class is on Mondays from 6:30 to 9:30 P.M. starting January 16th and continuing for 10 weeks. The cost is $410 + materials. Spaces are limited and this class fills up very fast!
