Course Description
In this workshop, you will learn how to create powerful fantasy illustration that
truly captures the imagination. Master fantasy illustrator and concept artist Marc
Taro Holmes will demonstrate and guide you through the process of designing fantastical
characters, creatures and imaginary worlds. He will reveal his methods, drawing and
painting techniques, secrets, and tricks of the trade. Topics covered include mood,
gesture, value and composition as well as how to create convincing heroes, adversaries
and scenes.
About the teacher
Marc is an Illustrator, Art Director and Concept Artist with over 15 years of experience in the games industry and feature animation. His credits include Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights II, Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Empires III and A Christmas Carol. His illustrations have appeared on the covers of PC Gamer, Computer Gamer, Play Magazine and even two stories high on the front of the E3 Expo. His workshops are very popular in Canada and abroad.
This workshop will take place on Saturday January 14th from 1 to 6 P.M. Spaces are limited and this workshop is expected to fill up very fast! $87. Bring a sketchbook or a laptop.
