Q2: Do you have any drop-
A) Only one. Our social figure drawing workshop.
Q3: What kind of students attend classes and workshops here?
A) Our students are typically in their 20s and 30s, and are about 60% female. We also have a handful of older students, around retirement age and very occasionally we have some younger students in their teens.
Q4: Can students younger than 18 attend the classes and workshops?
A) Many of our classes use nude models, however students as young as 13 are sometimes
allowed to attend classes (they are usually interested in our comic book class).
When students are younger than 16, we usually require an in-
Q5: What levels of students attend the classes and workshops and why?
A) We have classes and workshops for all levels of students from complete beginners to advanced students. In our higher level classes many of our students are professional artists looking for new insight, inspiration and techniques from some of the legendary artists and industry veterans who teach here. We also have students looking to build their portfolios so that they can get into a specific university program (such as a Fine Arts program, McGill Architecture or an Art and Design College) or get a job or more contracts in the portraiture, comic book, video game, film, animation, illustration or design fields .
Q6: Can I come for a visit? I want to see the location or find out what class you think I should take.
A) You can always stop by to see the place for a few minutes during our social figure drawing workshop. If you are interested in registering for a class or workshop and want us to recommend one for you or review your portfolio to see what level you are then you need to contact us to make a specific appointment.
Q7: Do you have a registration policy and a privacy policy?
A) Yes. Here they are: registration policy ; privacy policy.

A) The class is probably already full but go ahead and register anyway. If it is full then you will get a full refund.
Q9: Are materials and taxes included in the price of your classes or are they extra?
A) Materials are always extra. A materials list will be provided about 5 days before the start of the class. We sell some materials for discount prices. Taxes are extra for everything except the social figure drawing workshop, which includes taxes.
Q10: Do you offer any discounts? What if I am a full time student?
A) Generally, no we don’t offer any discounts, except for occasional early registration
discounts. We offer great value and our classes almost always fill up well before
the deadline so we see no need to offer discounts. There is only one exception. You
can buy a membership which gives discounts only for the social figure drawing workshop
and the art supplies we sell. If you are a full time student, you may purchase a
membership at half-

SECTION II : INFO FOR PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS, MODELS, MANAGERS, INTERNS AND VOLUNTEERS
Q1: Do you have any internship or volunteer opportunities?
A) Yes, and there are many benefits to volunteering or interning here. To find out more, Email us and make sure to send a C.V. and cover letter letting us know what your skills are.
Q2: Are you looking for more teachers? I would like to teach at your school.
A) We are always looking for more teachers. However, you must be a recognized expert in your field (see our classes and workshops pages and the types of teachers we employ to see if you are in their league) and have some teaching experience. We are interested in offering drawing, painting and entertainment industry art classes (similar to what we already offer). You must be passionate about teaching (it’s not lucrative compared with working in industry) and incredibly reliable and conscientious (you must make a firm commitment to your class or workshop dates many months in advance). You must of course have good communication skills in either English or French and preferably both. If you are still interested, please email us and include your C.V. and/or a link to your Web site. If you don’t have a Web site, then send images of your work (8 megabytes max.).
Q3: Are you looking for managers or other types of workers?
A) Yes. We currently looking for a part time general manager and a part time communications/social
media manager. Or, potentially, a full time position for someone with both skill-
Q4: Are you looking for more models? I would like to model at your school.
A) We are always looking for more models. However, we only take experienced art models. If do not have experience as an art model, please see Q6 which describes our model training program. If you have experience as an art model, see Q5 which describes our application requirements.
Q5: What are your application requirements for experienced art models?
A) We accept both male and female models of all shapes and sizes, with and without tattoos, piercings and other special characteristics. You must have an email account and a cell phone number with a Montreal area code and be in Montreal when you make your application. You must be 100% professional and reliable as well as passionate about modeling. Although we have opportunities for costume modeling, all models must be able to model nude as we mainly use nude models in our classes and workshops.
To apply, you must email us and include the following in your email:
I) The subject line of your email contains the word “model”.
II) A C.V. with references to schools and people you have modeled for so that we can contact them.
III) Recent photographs (8 megs max.) of yourself which clearly show your face, body type and musculature as well as any tattoos, piercings or other special characteristics. The photos don’t have to have nudity but if they don’t clearly show your body type and musculature then your application will be automatically rejected.
IV) A cell phone number with a Montreal area code where you can be easily reached (in the text of your email).
Q6: I don’t have experience as an art model. How can I model for you?
A) Either you can get some experience. (most schools’ criteria are not as strict as ours) or you can successfully complete our training program. Our training program costs $35 (taxes included) and we also take half of the pay from your first session here (note that you will only be booked for an initial session if you pass our training). Not everyone is accepted into our training program. To apply, make a similar application to the one in Q5, however, replace item II with a cover letter explaining why you want to be an art model and why you think you would make a good art model. After you are accepted, but before you pay, you then visit our social figure drawing workshop where you will get to see what kinds of poses we require from our models. If you decided to continue, you will then pay the $35 fee. We will then assign you some poses to practice at home. The actual training session is taught by a professional model and model trainer. It is about 2 hours long and covers everything you need to know and includes a test at the end. The training sessions are unisex and the test is a physical test done in the nude. You must bring a bathrobe, a timer and some props/accessories (ex: silk scarf, hat, etc.) to the training session.
