Description
Ideal for industry artists as well as those interested in film, television and video
game art. This workshop includes theory, demonstrations, exercises and one-on-one
feedback. You will learn how one of Hollywood’s top matte painters goes from a basic
idea to a finished photo-realistic digital painting. Frederic will show you all of
his techniques and the tricks of the trade. In this intimate workshop, you will also
be given an assignment to work on and can bring in your artwork for individual critique
and draw-over correction.
About the teacher
Frederic St-Arnaud has 14 years of experience as a matte painter and visual effects
artist having worked on over 30 feature films. His credits include the latest Indiana
Jones, Resident Evil and Terminator movies as well as Sin City and the Golden Compass
which won an Academy Award for best visual effects. He is an experienced teacher
who has taught at the university level.
This workshop will take place on Wednesday the 11th of January from 6 to 10 P.M.
Spaces are VERY limited will fill up fast! Bring a sketch pad, pencils and optionally
a laptop, tablet and your portfolio. The cost is $77.
